Welcome to Rügen

Wildwood Camping Rügen is located in the southeast of the island, right next to a nature reserve and just steps away from long, unspoiled beaches. Here you’ll find space to unwind, enjoy sports, and experience outdoor activities in nature.

Our site covers around 9 hectares of woodland and meadows directly on the Baltic Sea. There’s a dog-friendly beach for your four-legged companions and a large playground for children. Barbecue areas invite you to spend evenings together, while modern washhouses ensure comfort. On rainy days, you can make yourself at home in the Clubhouse – complete with fireplace, games, and a relaxed atmosphere.

On our terrace, you can enjoy a cool drink while taking in the view. And in our shop you’ll find fresh bread rolls every morning, coffee, groceries, ice cream, and camping essentials – everything you need for carefree days outdoors.

Pitch

All our pitches are surrounded by beautiful nature, very quiet, and located on natural ground. Choose from three different sizes (small, medium, large) when booking. The price includes two people. You can select your preferred pitch when making your reservation.

The Area

Welcome to the southeast of Rügen – where the island still feels truly untouched. Our campsite is nestled between the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park and the Schoritzer Wiek nature reserve. Here you’ll find landscapes that take your breath away: wide beaches, forests and fields stretching to the horizon, and a calm that slows you down the moment you arrive.

If you take the time to explore, you’ll quickly discover how diverse this corner of Rügen is. Between cliffs, bodden waters and dense woodlands, nature shows itself from its wildest side. In the morning, you can walk barefoot through the sand, at midday set out on a bike ride through the countryside, and in the evening watch the sun set over the water. Keep your eyes open and you may even meet some special neighbors: deer in the fields, white-tailed eagles soaring above – and with a bit of luck, seals resting in the bodden waters.

What makes this region truly remarkable is its birdlife. The surroundings are an important refuge for waterbirds, and during migration season the area becomes a breathtaking natural spectacle, when thousands of birds pause here on their journey between north and south.

Activities

The area around our campsite is a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Swimming, surfing or fishing are just as much a part of life here as hiking along the coast or taking a trip to Rügen’s famous chalk cliffs. Right from our site you’ll also find numerous cycling routes – perfect for discovering the island. You can easily rent SUPs with us as well. Charming towns like Binz and Sellin are only a short trip away and invite you to spend the day exploring or simply enjoying a relaxed afternoon by the sea.

And because a great holiday also means good food, we’ve got you covered: you’ll find a cozy barbecue area and even a pizza oven you can rent. Our camper kitchen is there for you to prepare your favorite meals with ease. Everything you need is available in our shop: from fresh groceries, drinks, bread rolls, coffee, ice cream, meat and campfire bread to vegetarian and vegan options. Plus all the little things you might forget to bring along when camping.

If you’d like to eat out, there are some great restaurants nearby – such as Il Rustico or Convivo. And for everyone arriving by ferry, here’s a little insider tip: grab a fresh herring sandwich right at the Glewitz ferry terminal.
